Creative Learning Journey
Our curriculum strives to ensure breadth and balance by teaching the subjects of History, Geography, Art, Design and Technology and making links with all other subjects, where possible, through exciting and relevant topics. The interests of both children and teachers design the course of study so it remains fresh and inspiring. We also create additional opportunities for children to learn first-hand through an annual plan of visits and visitors where learning is brought to life.

Specialist Teaching here at Timu Academy Trust schools
In our schools we teach French, Physical Education and Music using specially trained teachers. This ensures our children learn from the very best practitioners who are experts in their subject.
Modern Foreign Languages
At our schools we feel that it is essential for our children to have knowledge and some understanding of foreign languages. During their time in school your child will have the opportunity to study French in regular weekly language lessons taught by a native french speaking teacher. The focus of study in French will be on practical communication. The teaching will provide an appropriate balance of spoken and written language. In the younger classes, we introduce children to a variety of modern foreign languages through games and fun activities.
Our schools have a dedicated team of PE teachers who ensure our children love sport and keeping fit and healthy. We follow the new national curriculum for Physical Education and aims for each child to:
- develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
- be physically active for sustained periods of time
- engage in competitive sports and activities
- lead healthy, active lives.
Our Music teacher specialises in singing and playing the keyboard. He teaches the music curriculum in an exciting and motivational way where his specialist skills, knowledge and understanding are used to make this an exciting subject. The schools have choirs which sing at community events.
